A Timaru man has been burgled after being lured away from his house by a telephone call this morning.

The man was called away from his Adair Rd home by telephone at 2.30am this morning.

The burglars stole a Compaq laptop computer, a Samsung 21-inch television and two ornamental swords.

Police have a suspect in mind and believe the phone call was made by an accomplice of the thief.
