Two men have pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the death of Wellington woman Amy Edward-Mintorn, who was hit in Cambridge Tce in August last year.

Neoton Yousif, 20, and David John Hodgson, 19, entered their pleas in the High Court at Wellington yesterday and were remanded on bail to be sentenced on October 23.

Justice Ron Young wants home detention reports prepared.

The men were discharged on alternative counts of manslaughter.

A third man, Vance Jeffrey Young-Whaanga, 19, is due to stand trial on both charges, starting on October 23 in the High Court.

Ms Edward-Mintorn, 23, was hit while talking on her cellphone as she crossed the street early on the morning of August 20.

Police alleged the three men had been driving in separate lanes and had accelerated quickly away from a set of traffic lights before Yousif's car hit Ms Edward-Mintorn.
