Police have charged a man with manslaughter following the death a Queenstown man earlier this month.
Mark James Smith, 47, died after an altercation after a night out drinking in Queenstown on 19 November.
Detective Senior Sergeant Colin Blackie today announced the accused, a 34-year-old man with interim name suppression, will appear in the Invercargill District Court tomorrow, charged with the manslaughter of Mr Smith.
Mr Blackie said the investigation had been scaled back as a result.
