Four people accused of the murder of Wanganui man Paul Shane Kumeroa have been found guilty.

Clarke James McCallum, 36, Daniel Craig Rippon, 23, Jamie Ngahuia Ahsin, 24, and Raeleen Matewai Noyle Rameka, 20, were each found guilty by a jury in the High Court at Wanganui today of Mr Kumeroa's murder.

He was mistaken for a Mongrel Mob member and punched and hit over the head with an axe or baseball bat by the four Black Power gang members on September 23 last year.

Justice Robert Dobson remanded the four in custody to reappear for sentencing on February 12 next year.

McCallum was also found guilty of intentional damage for throwing a large spanner through the back window of a car at a Wanganui address on the day of the killing.

Rippon, Ahsin and Rameka were found not guilty of the offence of intentional damage.

A charge of assault against all four was dismissed by Justice Dobson earlier in the trial.
