A Christchurch teenager who allegedly fired an airgun at a bus full of schoolchildren was granted a registrar's remand in Christchurch District Court yesterday.

Charlie Leonard William Osborne, 17, was bailed to February 23 without plea on charges of firing an airgun with intent to frighten and endangering property.

He was arrested after shots were fired from a car at a bus carrying schoolchildren in central Christchurch.

The shots shattered glass windows but no-one was hurt. Shots were also fired at a cyclist.
