Former Canterbury Tactix netball chief executive Anthony John Dawson has been committed for trial on charges of arson, and dishonestly using a document, and will appear for a pre-trial conference in the Christchurch High Court on November 19.

Dawson 43, resigned his post as Tactix chief executive in August.

The offences are alleged to have been committed in June.

He is charged with the arson of a property in Cambridge Terrace and dishonestly using an insurance claim form.
