Police have charged a 55-year-old Invercargill man with 24 theft and fraud charges relating to military medals belonging to returned servicemen and their families.
Three customers expressed concerns to TVNZ programme Fair Go in May after bad experiences dealing with the medal conservator who advertised through online auction site Trade Me, TVNZ reported.
One man told Fair Go he paid $512 for a pair of replica medals to honour his father.
The man had been bailed to appear in Invercargill District Court on Friday.
