Police have found a convicted child sex-offender who allegedly breached his release conditions.
Last Tuesday, Upper Hutt District Court issued arrest warrants for Brad Bowers, 24, who has convictions for sexually grooming a young teenage girl in 2007 and performing indecent acts on her.
He had allegedly breached his prison release conditions three times.
Lower Hutt Police senior sergeant Brett Simon said Bowers was found in the mental health ward of Hutt Hospital at 6.20pm tonight.
He had voluntarily checked himself in on Saturday, Mr Simon said.
Bowers was arrested without incident and will appear in Lower Hutt District Court on Wednesday morning.
