Police seek woman who made hoax bomb call in Christchurch
A woman is being sought by police after she allegedly claimed there was a bomb at a Christchurch business.
In a statement issued late Thursday, police said a woman made a call from a payphone on Colombo St, claiming there was a bomb at a business premises in the city.
Officers visited the premises and confirmed no-one was at risk.
CCTV images obtained by police showed a person leaving the payphone used at the time of the call.
Police wanted to identify the person in the image, and urged anyone who recognised the woman to call the Christchurch station on 03 363 7400.
Information could also be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
