A senior member of the Head Hunters gang has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for supply.

The 59-year-old man turned himself in at Auckland Central Police Station on Thursday morning, the day after a police raid on the gang's headquarters in West Auckland.

The man wasn't at the address but police made contact with him after the raid.
