The accused in an alleged home invasion case in Dunedin on Monday has been remanded in custody without plea until December 7 in the Dunedin District Court this morning.

The 21-year-old unemployed man, who earlier in the week was remanded in custody on a charge of grievous bodily harm, appeared before Judge Dominic Flatley on further charges of attempted murder, sexual violation,  and aggravated entry to the victim's home.

Judge Flatley granted continued name suppression of the defendant's name in view of the extra charges, the lack of disclosure, and pending a general report into the accused's history.
