Three people are due in court this morning after their property was set on fire yesterday while police were conducting a drug search at the site.

A 35-year-old man from Katikati, a 37-year-old man from Mateku and a 26-year-old woman from Tauranga are all jointly charged with arson and conspiring to manufacture methamphetamine.

They will appear in the Tauranga District Court.

Police are examining the scene of the fire to establish the cause of the fire, and whether the site was being used as a P lab.
