Police are looking for a man who tried to abduct three children in Mt Roskill.

On December 9 the man followed the trio before stopping his car and telling the eight-year-old and 14-year-old girls, who were walking along Stoddard Rd with their younger brother, to get into his car.

When they refused, he grabbed the youngest girl by the arm but her sister intervened and they were able to escape.

The man got back into his car and drove off along May Rd towards Richardson Rd.

He is described as possibly Indian, about 30-years-old, of average height and medium build.

He was wearing a light blue long-sleeved business shirt with dark blue stripes, black pants and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the incident or who the man is, should contact Detective Matthew Welch at Avondale Police on 09 820 5776 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
