An Auckland boxer who once fought Sonny Bill Williams has pleaded not guilty to a charge of doing an indecent act at the Boxing Day races.

Glenview man Gary Charles Gurr, listed in court documents as a builder, gained infamy as the boxer who was knocked out by Williams in May 2009 after claiming he'd win the fight in the first round.
