Police investigating the brutal killing of Featherston supermarket worker Glen Jones are asking for public help to find a basketball shoe.

The black and green Globe basketball boot may have been left near Whatman Early Childhood Centre on Masterton's Ngaumutawa Rd, police say.

Police already have the other shoe in the pair. They have asked anyone who finds the missing shoe not to touch it, and to call police instead.

Five people are facing charges connected to Mr Jones' killing.

They are: Matthew McKinney, 28, Hayden Ranson, 27, Kristofer Jones, 23, Toni Miller, 22, and a 32-year-old woman whose name is suppressed.
