Police have asked for public help to locate a missing Hutt Valley man, last seen at SkyCity casino in Hamilton.

Simon Chin, 49, was seen by family on Tuesday night, May 7, when he left to drive from his Lower Hutt home to Auckland.

Enquiries have established that Chin visited SkyCity casino in Hamilton on Wednesday, May 15 police said.

He has not been heard from since, prompting concerns for his well being.

Chin was described as a stocky Chinese man, about 170cm tall, with shaved black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and tan slip-on shoes.

When he left his Hutt Valley home he was driving a grey 1999 Mitsubishi Diamante, with the XS2655 licence plates.
