Clayton Ratima was a 24-year-old Tribesmen gang associate and prospect.

Two men have denied the murder of a gang prospect who was dropped off at an Auckland hospital badly injured.

Clayton Ratima, 24, died from head injuries three days after being taken to Middlemore Hospital in February this year.

At the time police said they believed Ratima had been dropped off at the hospital by Tribesmen gang members.

Two men were charged with the alleged murder in early November.
