Police are seeking witnesses to a shooting in Panmure, Auckland last night.

Emergency services were called to a Coates Crescent residence about 10.30pm, where a man was found with gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital.

The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, a police spokesman said.

The area would be cordoned off this morning for a scene examination and police were seeking any witnesses to the event.
