Beau Bruce Lyttle faces seven charges relating to alleged offences on Sunday.

A man has been charged with assaulting two police officers using a vehicle as a weapon.

Beau Bruce Lyttle, 28, has been charged with the assault of two Blenheim-based constables on May 14.

Lyttle, a dairy worker of Nelson, is also charged with driving while disqualified for the third or subsequent time, refusing to give a blood sample for the third or subsequent time, driving recklessly on Maxwell Rd, failing to stop for police, and failing to remain parked while stopped by police.

He was held in custody until his appearance at the Blenheim District Court on Wednesday.

Lyttle did not enter a plea, and was remanded on bail to a Blenheim address where police would monitor a 24-hour curfew.

He would reappear on May 29.
