A man robbed a Hamilton video store on Thursday night.

Hamilton police are looking for a man who robbed a United Video store armed with a shotgun. 

The incident happened at United Video on Killarney Rd, around 9.20pm on Thursday. 

A man wearing a grey sweatshirt and a jacket with the sleeves cut off entered the store where one person was working behind the counter, detective sergeant Terry Wilson said.

The man demanded cash, which was handed over, before taking off on foot, he said. 

No-one was injured during the robbery. 

Police were at the scene on Friday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
