Methamphetamine use by parents is now the number one reason they're losing custody of their children.

P is now the biggest reason for parents losing custody of their children, it is being reported.

"I call it an epidemic," Kate Bundle, the chief executive of the Grandparents Supporting Grandchildren Trust told RNZ.

P addiction of parents was the biggest driver behind children being cared for by grandparents, the trust said.
