Two men with a large knife got away with money and legal highs after holding up a Palmerston North sex shop.

The ''skinny men'' walked into Barbarellas - a Palmerston North adult shop - at 5.50pm yesterday, Senior Sergeant Marc Clausen said.

One of the men had a large knife and they demanded legal highs and cash.

They got away in a car with an undisclosed sum of cash and legal highs.

It was not thought they took any sex toys.

Both men were wearing balaclavas.

Only the shop keeper was in the shop and was not injured.

The incident, which is being treated as an aggravated robbery, is being handled by the CIB.
