Levin Police are appealing for help from the public in identifying a man who stole a bottle of aftershave.

The man took a $89 bottle of A*Men EDT aftershave on February 1 from Unichem Pharmacy in Levin.

Levin Constable Graeme Jarvis said the man walked into the pharmacy about 12.15pm, walked straight to the display and took the bottle, shoving it up his shirt and walking out.

Police have been unable to identify the man from security footage, and are appealing for help from the public.

He is wearing quite a t-shirt with a single word across the front and a gold and black baseball cap.

Anyone who knows who he is, or has any information relevant to the investigation is asked to contact Constable Jarvis on (06) 366 0576, or provide information anonymously via Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
