A man needed hospital attention last night after he was assaulted at a private address in Linwood last night.

Police report he was injured as a result of assault at Pateke Pl, Linwood at 8.18pm.

A scene guard has been in place, said a police spokesman.

An ambulance spokesman said they had taken a man to hospital from the address.No information was available on his condition yet.
