Police are hunting for a man involved in the aggravated robbery of an adult shop in Rotorua.

The robbery occurred about 2.50pm when a man with a weapon entered the Wild Things shop on Pukuatua Street, police said.

He left with an unknown amount of cash.

Police wanted to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between 2.30pm and 3pm.

The man was described as Maori, possibly in his 40s, stocky and wearing dark clothing including a hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information was asked to contact Rotorua Police on 07 348 0099. Information could also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
