Police are looking for a teenager in relation to the armed robbery of a South Auckland video shop last night.

The robbery at the Video Expo store on Cavendish Drive in Manukau followed a similar incident at the same store in February and an East Tamaki video shop last month.

Police said they had positively identified 18-year-old Corban Kawharu Kora as a suspect in the two robberies of the Cavendish Drive shop and had 14 warrants to arrest him on those and other matters.

They said Kora and an associate were seen on CCTV footage of last night’s robbery entering the store and threatening the attendant with a firearm.

Detective Sergeant Dave Honiss, of Counties Manukau police, said Kora was aware police were looking for him and was actively evading arrest.

“We believe he will continue on his crime spree until he is caught and therefore need to locate him as soon as possible,” he said.
