A Christchurch restaurant has been robbed by two men wielding sawn-off shotguns.

Two men robbed The Brickworks, in Centaurus Rd, of an undisclosed amount of money early this morning.

A police spokesman said the men demanded money from employees who were still on the premises after the business shut about 12:30am.

He believed the men who were helped by a third person who drove the car they got away in.

No employees were injured.

A police investigation is underway.
