A senior member of the United States administration is visiting New Zealand today.

Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Kurt Campbell would meet senior government ministers in Wellington before heading tomorrow to Vanuatu where the Pacific Islands Forum is meeting, a statement on the US Department of State website says.

In Vanuatu Dr Campbell will lead the US inter-agency delegation at the post forum dialogue.

During the dialogue key partners are able to meet forum members to discuss issues such as climate change, maritime security, and economic development.
