Speaker Lockwood Smith had released a list of the 15 members of the public who have swipe card access to Parliament - most are lobbyists.
Generally parliamentary swipe cards are reserved for politicians, staff members and contractors.
But 15 people, including the spouses of two former MPs, have cards.
Most of the rest of those with cards were lobbyists such as Tony O'Brien from Sky and Helen Kelly from the Council of Trade Unions.
Dr Smith said he was releasing the list in the interest of transparency.
" Members of the public were only given approved visitor status if they had been security cleared and agreed to their names being public."
The benefit of having a swipe card was that the person did not have to go through security screening each time they entered Parliament.
They can only access public areas.
Former MPs also have a right to have a swipe card.
This is the first time the list of members of the public with cards has been released.
