Deputy PM bruises arm during motorsport event, is not sure how exactly
Deputy Prime Minister Paula Bennett sustained a nasty bruise to her left bicep at a Taupo Formula 1 event on Sunday.
The bruise emerged overnight on Sunday after Bennett was in a racing car at the Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park, being driven at 290kmh.
A spokeswoman from her office said the Deputy PM was not quite sure how she had actually sustained the bruise.

"She was just concentrating on staying alive. Then during the night she noticed her arm was hurting a little bit.
"She had a great time."
The F1 event at the Taupo circuit celebrated 50 years since Denny Hulme became New Zealand's only Grand Prix World Champion in 1967.

While Bennett was unworried by the bruise and didn't plan on seeking any medical attention, Twitter itself seemed to be a bit more concerned - hiding a tweeted image of the bruise as "sensitive material".
"IT'S MY ARM!!!!" responded Bennett.
