As the countdown to the Royal tour of New Zealand continues, we take a look at Government House, where Wills, Kate and baby George will be based for the majority of their stay.

A $44.7 million renovation a few years ago ensures there will be no falling tiles, asbestos or cracked walls when the royal couple come to stay.

The house, which boasts more than 50 rooms, was first built in 1910 and is categorised as a Category 1 heritage building. We hope the couple find it comfortable.

We know their night at a luxury lodge in Queenstown will certainly make for a memorable stay.
