Join us as we follow the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their final day of their tour of New Zealand.

Today the royal couple will be visible at three locations in Wellington, but the best chance to see them will be during their drive through the city, followed by a walkabout in Civic Square.

12.06pm: The royal couple have left Civic Square, ending their public duties during their tour of New Zealand. They will now travel to Wellington Airport where they will fly to Australia.

11.25am: The royal couple are now on their way to Wellington's CBD.

11.05am: The royal couple have been gifted a mini mock police uniform for growing Prince George.

11am: Good news! Blue sky has been spotted above Civic Square...

10.51am: Whlle the royal couple visit the police college, Wellingtonians battle out the weather to wait for the walkabout in Civic Square.

10.27am: The royal couple are now being shown what goes on in the police college gym, with officers demonstrating training techniques of how to deal with aggressive offenders, along with forcing offenders on to the ground, and cuffing them.

10.25am: The duchess is wearing a navy blue skirt suit by New Zealand designer Rebecca Taylor.

9.45am: The royal couple, potentially with Prince George in tow, are due at the Royal New Zealand Police College in Porirua at 10am.

9.40am: Wellington City Council spokesman Clayton Anderson said council staff and local hosts were in Civic Square dispensing hot drinks to the wet, waiting masses.

9.30am: People started arriving in Civic Square before 6am to get a prime position. They waited in the wet and the cold - all for the chance that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will do more than simply walk past and wave.

They have rehearsed their lines, others have presents ready, and one is dressed as a buzzy bee. The royals are due to arrive at Civic Square at 11.25am.

7.50am: True to form, Wellington is going to deliver another rainy day for the final royal walkabout. Baby Prince George is expected to be with them on their visit to the Police College in the morning, but during the walkabout he is likely to be waiting at Wellington's military airport terminal.

Yesterday: Preparations for the royal visit began in central Wellington.
