Northland and Auckland: Occasional showers in Northland, spreading elsewhere this evening, then clearing tomorrow.

Waikato to Taranaki, including Coromandel, Bay of Plenty, Taupo and Taumarunui: Mostly fine. However, a few showers in Taranaki spreading to Waitomo and Waikato towards this evening, then clearing early morning.

Whanganui, Taihape, Manawatu and Kapiti: Mainly fine, however isolated showers in the afternoons and evenings.

Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa and Wellington: Fine today. Showers spreading northwards tomorrow, possibly heavy about the east coast.

Buller, southern Fiordland, Southland, Clutha and Dunedin: Scattered showers, clearing tomorrow and becoming mostly fine.

For the remainder of the South Island: Mostly fine, however cloud increasing about Canterbury and coastal Marlborough tomorrow with showers.

Chatham Islands: Showers. Southwest gales easing tomorrow.

Monday: North Island, mainly fine, a few showers in the east at first, and cloudy periods in the southwest. South Island, rain developing in the west, high cloud increasing elsewhere.

Tuesday: North Island, rain developing in the south, reaching northern areas at night and easing to a few showers in the south, mainly fine in the east but late drizzle in the Bay of Plenty. South Island, rain in the west, with heavy falls, scattered brief rain further east.

Wednesday: North Island, rain or showers in most places but only a few falls in the east and south. South Island, rain in the west, with heavy falls, scattered brief rain further east.

Chatham Islands: Cloudy periods on Monday and southerlies turning lighter westerly. Cloudy with patchy drizzle and freshening northwesterlies on Tuesday. Drizzle turning to rain on Wednesday.
