Northland to North Taranaki, including Taumarunui, Taupo, Bay of Plenty and Coromandel: Fine, some morning and evening cloud.

South Taranaki to Kapiti, including Taihape: Mostly cloudy, with patchy drizzle about the ranges today.

Gisborne to Wairarapa and Wellington: Cloudy with patchy drizzle.

Inland Marlborough, Nelson, Buller, Westland and Fiordland: Fine weather. Cloudy periods developing about Buller and western Nelson tomorrow, spreading to Westland during the evening.

Coastal Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago and Southland: Fine, apart from areas of coastal cloud and patchy drizzle. However, extensive low cloud or fog developing this evening. Afternoon fine spells inland tomorrow.

Chatham Islands: Occasional light showers and strong cold southerlies.

Monday: Mainly fine from North Taranaki to Bay of Plenty northwards, possibly a shower or two north of the Bombay Hills. Cloudy areas elsewhere, mainly in the south and east of both Islands morning and evening, with occasional light rain or drizzle north of Napier.

Tuesday: Mainly fine in the north and west of the North Island. Cloudy areas elsewhere, mainly morning and evening, and occasional light rain or drizzle north of Napier.

Wednesday: North Island, mainly fine, but cloudy periods in the north, and also from East Cape to Wairoa with occasional rain or drizzle there at first. South Island, cloudy areas, mainly morning and evening in the east and south.

Chatham Islands: Often cloudy with a few showers. Strong southwesterlies easing on Monday, and tending westerly on Wednesday.
