Short Forecast for all New Zealand
Northland to Manawatu, including Bay of Plenty and the central high country: Showers becoming isolated this morning then clearing by evening. Patchy rain returning to Northland tonight.

Gisborne and Hawkes Bay: Mainly fine.

Horowhenua to Wellington, also Wairarapa: Cloudy periods. A few showers, clearing from Wellington by evening.

Nelson and Marlborough: Scattered showers developing early morning, then clearing by evening.

Westland and Buller: Showers gradually clearing from the south.

Canterbury, Otago, Southland and Fiordland: Cloudy periods. A few showers north of Christchurch and about the south, clearing in the morning but the odd shower remain about coastal Fiordland.

Chatham Islands: Showers.

Wednesday: North Island, rain spreading from the north, with heavy falls possible in northern and eastern areas. South Island, occasional showers about the southwest coast and a few evening showers in Southland and Clutha. Mostly sunny elsewhere, with morning frosts in some places.

Thursday: North Island, a few showers in the far north. Rain elsewhere, easing to a few showers in the east and south, and clearing elsewhere. South Island, a few showers developing in the east, and mainly fine elsewhere.

Friday: North Island, a few showers in the east. Elsewhere, remaining showers clearing, otherwise mainly fine. South Island, remaining showers in the east clearing, otherwise mainly fine, with morning frosts.

Chatham Islands: Showers clearing on Wednesday and southwesterlies dying out. Rain developing on Thursday and northeasterlies turning southerly. Rain easing to showers on Friday and southerlies strengthening.
