Waikawa woman in hospital after crash
A 49-year-old Marlborough woman was flown to Nelson Hospital after a crash near St Arnaud, near Nelson Lakes National Park.
Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter pilot Tim Douglas-Clifford said the woman, from Waikawa, was flown to hospital about 11.30am yesterday.
She was in a stable condition but had suspected spinal injuries, he said.A hospital spokeswoman said today the woman was in a comfortable condition.
Douglas-Clifford understood a red car driven by the woman and a ute collided on State Highway 63 near Lake Station Airfield.
Two other people were taken by ambulance to Nelson Hospital.
