A Wakefield man injured after falling from a roof yesterdya was flown to Nelson Hospital by the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter.
The man aged in his 70s was airlifted from the Wakefield area at 4pm today. He had been attempting to fix an aerial on his roof and fell about two metres through a perspex canopy onto a deck area.
He was initially treated at the scene by St John ambulance staff and then flown to Nelson Hospital emergency department in a comfortable condition for further assessments
