Motorcyclist dies in Golden Downs

A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Nelson this afternoon.
The victim was thought to have collided with another rider - a 50-year-old Northland man - on Stock Road in Golden Downs shortly before 2pm, Summit Rescue Helicopter spokesman Jarrod Colbourne said.
The motorcylist died at the scene.
The Northland man was flown to Nelson hospital with a suspected neck injury and concussion.
Mr Colbourne said no other vehicles were involved.
