Inbox: the week on the web
ADAM ROBERTSExcellent week on the internet everybody, really well done. Pat yourself on the back. Other than the Dotcom story, which only gets more incredible by the day, here are five things which rang my bell over the week.
1. Star Wars Uncut - a remake made by Star Wars fans, for Star Wars fans.
2. Here are some letters to and from awesome people.
3. Gawker has really been killing it this week, with a stream of interesting stories sparked by their experiment into using one journalist as a "web-traffic baiter". So there's this one about an IT pro who sets up private cellphone networks for drug dealers (a la The Wire), this one about a trip to Vegas, this one about Groupon selling snake-oil, and this excellently phrased post on a Washington Post story.
4. Mental Floss has been posting awesome lectures recently, here's a classic from author Malcolm Gladwell, where he talks about spaghetti sauce.
5. Stephen Colbert meets Where the Wild Things Are author Maurice Sendak in this video, very entertaining, as you might expect.
Now, what did you enjoy?
