A special Farmers' Market on Christmas Eve means Nelsonians can purchase fresh berries, vegetables and other special food for the Christmas table.

The Nelson Farmers' Market is holding a special market next Tuesday at a one-off location in the NMIT Carpark on Collingwood St near the Masonic Lodge and opposite Selwyn Place.

The market runs from 9am till 2pm.

Manager Amme Hiser said as well as the regular stalls, fresh summer berries, fruits, veges, cherries, chocolates, shortbread, specialty foods, seasonal stalls, flowers, yummy food would be for sale.

Market goers could get smoked fish, Christmas pies and other goodies to put on the Christmas table.

The next Farmers' Market after Christmas will be on January 1, where the Panama Boys would entertain as part of the Woollaston Jazz and Blues Festival.
