Nelson's vibrant, multicultural hub is back in the limelight this Sunday, when the Little Day Out returns to Victory Square.
The aim, as always, is for a family-oriented day of funky vibes, live music and international food for sale.
This is the fourth annual Little Day Out event organised by the Victory Community Association . . . and it's going from strength to strength.
This year the band lineup includes The Johnnys, country-rock outfit The Immigrants, the colourful and uplifting Samba del Sol plus original music from Victory's own Dayna Sanerivi and Rough Cuts. The day will start with the reggae vibe of Smooth Cone Sounds.
One local who has been buzzing for months about the event is artist Lou-Darcie Lewis, who has been creating an amazing range of props for a first for the Little Day Out: a Mad Hatters Tea Party. She hopes others will get just as creative, and come to the party in their own colourful and fun hats.
- Victory's Little Day Out is at Victory Square, Sunday March 3 from 1-7pm.
