A strong environmental statement is the focus of Lori Davis' latest exhibition.
Davis decided to stage her show at the Bowater Toyota forecourt to help raise issues about global warming.
Her latest body of work represents New Zealand as the Garden of Eden.
"If we pay attention, very carefully, we can keep the best of what we have in the country.
"These latest paintings show detail of our landscape and encourage people to sustain the wonderful communities in which we live."
Davis says she had a desire as an artist to improve urban design, create healthy homes, lift the healthcare environment and end the isolation of families.
"Let's look after our family, friends, land, economy and our lives and we can reach a mental and spiritual Garden of Eden.
She says as the world progresses, the clean, green, natural features of the planet disappear.
"We are losing the great details of the planet. Cities are constantly expanding, concrete is replacing grass and global warming is becoming a serious problem."
