Firefighters from Stoke and Nelson were called to two separate late night party bonfires in Annesbrook overnight on Saturday, both in the same street.
Station officer Brian O'Donnell said the Stoke fire service attended the first bonfire in Quarantine Rd about 10pm on Saturday, after emergency services were alerted by people on the hill overlooking the area.
O'Donnell said the party-goers appeared to have taken off, as there was no-one present when firefighters arrived.
The second bonfire at a party further along Quarantine Rd just after midnight was put out by the people present.
Units from Stoke and Nelson attended. O'Donnell said some people remained unaware there were fire restrictions in Nelson.
