A man charged with wounding with reckless disregard after allegedly assaulting a patron at the Wakefield Hotel was remanded on bail when he appeared in the Nelson District Court this afternoon.
Wakefield man Paul Walker was charged in relation to an incident at the Wakefield Hotel on June 21 following a pig hunting competition.
Walker is alleged to have assaulted a 46-year-old victim in the toilets at the hotel, inflicting serious facial injuries.
Police believe a second person was present at the time and are seeking information from the public to identify them.
