Fronting up to the naked truth

Grant McNeill says he is now so comfortable being uncomfortable that posing naked before a life-drawing class was a mere blip on his scariness radar.
This month Mr McNeill is facing a new fear almost every day to test himself and raise money for Discovery camps, which challenge teenagers to overcome their fears.
On his daily "scariness" scale, Thursday night's challenge of being a life drawing model at Nelson College ranked a paltry four out of 10.
"I feel like I could take on the world and I think the hardest part of this challenge was staying in the same pose for 10 minutes.
"It's a real shame that I look at the photos and instead of going `oh my God I'm naked', I go, `oh my God I need to get to the gym'."
For his final challenge on Friday, Mr McNeill was to be buried alive. He claimed he wasn't nervous about it, despite saying previously it was what he feared most.
"I don't even have butterflies in my stomach. Bring it on," he said Friday morning.
The Nelson Mail has been publishing daily updates on each of his challenges.
