VIP guests at the NZ Olympic Committee's Governor-General's Dinner will dine on salmon from Nelson's New Zealand King Salmon.
More than 71kg of whole salmon has been flown into Heathrow for the banquet for more than 330 guests on Thursday at Whitehall's Banqueting House and for the barbecue lunches on offer at Kiwi House in London's King's Cross.
Chef Peter Gordon has designed the three-course menu for the banquet that starts with miso marinated Ora King salmon, manuka cold smoked Ora King salmon and Kaipara oysters.
The main is a roast New Zealand lamb rack and venison, followed by pavlova.
Premium Ora King Salmon is soon to be launched to New Zealand's top chefs by NZ King Salmon.
