An injured forestry worker and a woman who was briefly trapped under a vehicle, were two missions the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to today.
A 31-year-old Wakefield man who suffered a moderate knee injury was winched to safety from forestry in the Wangapeka area, south of Tapawera at 9.30am.
He was treated by the helicopters onboard St John Intensive Care Paramedic at the scene.
St John team manager Jon Leach said the man was injured in a fall.
A 67-year-old female from Stanley Brook in the Motueka Valley, was picked up by the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter at 12.30pm.
She was treated at the scene by the helicopters onboard St John Intensive Care Paramedic for minor leg injuries, sustained as a result of falling under a vehicle.
Mr Leach said the woman had parked her car and got underneath it, and it moved and pinned her underneath it.
