A 25-year-old Nelson woman who allegedly stabbed her partner in the stomach with a knife was arrested this morning at a Tahunanui address.
The woman was to appear in the Nelson District Court today charged with wounding with intent to injure.
A 28-year-old Nelson man was taken to the Emergency Department with a moderate knife wound to the abdomen at 1am.
St John team manager Jon Leach said the man was in a stable condition when he was transported to Nelson Hospital.
Detective Sergeant Mark Kaveney said the stabbing was domestic related and the woman was the injured man's partner or former partner.
