Rain forecast for Labour Weekend
The Nelson region looks set for yet another wet weekend, with the MetService predicting rain and showers for Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
After a relatively bright start on Friday, the weekend rain is forecast to begin on Saturday, with rain and northerly winds developing.
Organisers of the 10th annual Ngatimoti Festival will be encouraged to hear that the outlook for Sunday is a little better, with rain easing to showers and clearing later in the day, and highs of 18 degrees forecast.
Labour Day looks likely to be another washout, with more rain and westerlies on the cards.
There is little respite for the week ahead, with further wet weather forecast until Thursday, October 25.
