Ute smashes through Annesbrook fence

UNEXPECTED GUEST: A ute ended up against a house in Annesbrook Drive after crashing through a fence.

A 49-year-old Nelson man was taken to Nelson Hospital with minor injuries after the ute he was in hit a parked vehicle and went through a fence and over a retaining wall in Annesbrook Dr.

The crash happened at 3.40pm yesterday outside 208 Annesbrook Dr. Police, Nelson firefighters and St John attended the crash.

Station Officer Kevin O'Connor said the parked vehicle was shunted down the footpath. Nobody was trapped in the crash and the firefighters disconnected the ute's battery.

Police dealt with traffic control at the scene.
