It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Nelson with the stylised festive tree at the Church Steps now lit up.

Nelson City Council put up the tree which first glowed over Trafalgar St last year.

This Sunday The Leader Nelson City Santa Parade will make its way from the Church Steps at 1pm to Founders Park for a Christmas Carnivale. More than 30 floats will take part in the procession.

A Christmas Carol Concert will be held at Nelson Christ Church Cathedral on December 12 at 7.30pm, and Nelson’s traditional Carols by Candlelight service at the Church Steps will be held on Christmas Eve.
